Our features are purpose-built to make Annual Training Plans quick to make and easy to adjust no matter how chaotic a season gets.
Add Events and set their Priorities.
What’s the goal for the season? What are we trying to achieve with our training?
Whatever is most important, whether it’s the Ironman World Championships or the local Gran Fondo, give it an ‘A’ race priority in Bereda and set the desired Fitness (CTL) and Form (TSB) targets.
Include “Life Events”.
24-weeks of uninterrupted training don’t exist in real life.
With Bereda, you can schedule in what’s unique to the athlete: family vacations, holiday seasons, spring training camps, etc. Plan the change in training load accordingly with increased and decreased period of training event types.
Target Race Week Fitness (CTL) and Form (TSB) with customized Peak Periods.
Not only can you target Race Week Fitness (CTL), but you can customize the taper leading into race day with variable “Peak Period” lengths and Race Week Form (TSB) targets.
Set Individualized Training Preferences.
Not everyone likes to train the same way, and we get that.
That’s why we account for individual training preferences, providing the ability to customize the length of your mesocycles and the overall ramp rate of your Fitness (CTL) progression.
Rapid Plan Building, Test “What if” Scenarios Quickly.
What happens if we include a family vacation in the middle of the summer? What if we target more Fitness (CTL) this season?
Change event priorities, add in “life events”, steepen the ramp rate, or increase the target Race Week Fitness (CTL), and Bereda lets you rebuild a plan with the click of a button so you can test and iterate quickly, honing in on the best possible strategy for the season.
Import and Review Past Data for Planning Insights.
The best way to make decisions when planning out an athlete’s future is to review what they’ve done in the past. Recommendations for ramp rates, intensities, and Fitness (CTL) values are great, but knowing what the athlete as actually achieved is much more valuable.
Customize Plans with Powerful Editing Functionality.
Click & Drag Fitness (CTL)
Instead of changing weekly training load values one at a time in a spreadsheet, why don’t we just move Fitness (CTL) directly? With Bereda, you can, unlocking powerful editing functionality to quickly get the customized result you want. Hit the Fitness (CTL) you want, when you want, and get there using the ramp rates that are appropriate for different parts of the year.
Athletes have unique schedules, and they’re always changing. Instead of reworking the names and values of cells in a spreadsheet, with Bereda you can just click and slide mesocycle divisions (along with a few other handy moves) to readjust the strategy. The mesocycle “shapes” get maintained and training loads automatically recalculated to hit the targets you’re setting.
Use Bereda’s default periods or build your own library to drag and drop into the plans you build. In Bereda, training periods don’t just add a name and color to a set of weeks, they also carry information about the training load shape and the intensity of the mesocycle, enabling you to get a lot of customization into your plan quickly.
At the end of each week, you can update Bereda with the values an athlete hit compared to their planned targets. The plan will dynamically adjust to stay in sync with the athlete’s actual, real-world progress, while still achieving the end of mesocycle Fitness (CTL) target.
When things don’t go according to plan, like a missed week of training due to sickness, it’s easy to update and adjust the plan to figure out the best way to get back on track.
Develop a “big picture” strategy for the season that provides weekly targets to guide workout planning in an athlete’s training calendar.
When planned workouts match the targets developed in Bereda, you know that that week’s workouts fit into the bigger strategy for the season.
Athlete Accounts & Sharing Features.
Bereda offers the ability to create an unlimited number of plans, so we also offer an unlimited number of basic Athlete Accounts to keep those plans organized.
Plans can easily be moved and shared from one account to another, which is particularly handy if you’re coaching a group of athletes with similar event schedules. You can create one “master plan” with the group’s schedule and distribute it to the athletes’ accounts before getting into individualizing each one.
Athletes can also be invited to join their accounts to view (but not edit) the plans you build for them and enter their event schedule for the season, saving you time.
